Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born in Malibu. She loved performing for relatives and friends as an infant. At the age of eight years old Her mother took her to her very first class in acting. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a dance and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was also featured in some commercials on television. Salenger was the first actress to play the lead part as a lead actress in The Journey of Natty Gann which was which was a Disney film starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. The film was the first US film to win the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. The film was named "Best actress in Drama" in the Youth in Film Awards, because of her portrayal of the sexy Natty. The actress also appeared in four films prior to turning age 18. One of the films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that, she enrolled to Harvard to further her education.
