Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has received her NIDA diploma. Yael was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work on film, television and the theatre. Yael is well-known as an actor throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home after she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically-acclaimed production. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. In The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio The Cannery encourages new and imaginative writing and promote innovative thinking.
